I got bit from something were my arm folds about 3 days ago. At first I just thought it was a mosquito bite and didn’t think much of it. It was a red welt about nickel size. The next day it itched and burned. Day after that I have a bumpy dry rash all down my forearm. It itches and burns. The site are isn’t red anymore, but very dry. I’m allergic to some spider, but I have an anaflactic (sp)reaction. I’m also highly allergic to fire ants and also have an analactic reaction.
I live in northeastern Ohio. Me and my friends slept in a tent about a week ago and now i have what seems to be a bite. It is a big bump (about 1 inch in diameter) with a scab in the middle (which fell off now) and it has a large red circle around it. The bump also appears to be a bruise. After the scab fell off, it left a small hole and leaks a lot of puss. It was also very sore before, to the point where i had to walk with a limp, but it is gradually getting better now. could you tell me what this bite may be from?
Hi, about 2 weeks ago I went to a baby shower up in Iowa ; Fort Defiance National Park and I felt something on my neck so I just smack it. I couldn’t tell what kinds of insect of bug was it. But later on about 1hr ago its was red and it burned it looked like a perfect red circle and the pain got stronger. Time flew I was busy so, I didn’t mind about the bit because i thought it was just a simple mosquito bite since there are many here in Iowa. At night the pain would come in go, and literally it felt like burning sensation, when I would touch it it was painful, but then it would stop. Now till this day that burning sensation is still there but the red burning spot is gone, now i have this size of a pea bump on the side of my neck. I tried popping it but it hurts, its too hard and nothing comes out. AND i can’t even see if it has bites of a spider or not….

I *think* I was bitten by a spider several months ago.
Otherwise I can’t figure out what this is.
The bitten area has a small slightly brownish center spot and around it is pink little dots.
It is incredibly itchy. Incredibly. Several months have elapsed and it’s not going away. I started to apply Neosporin to the area and this just makes it even more itchy.
The bite is on my stomach and it must have occurred while I was asleep since I have no memory of it happening. I will try to have my husband take a photo later (I can’t photograph my stomach by myself!)
It has never become pussy or large or darker or anything like that. But it has been months! This is the part that’s making me nervous.
I live just south of Philadelphia PA. Walking into my house i happened to brush my upper arm against my door and suddenly felt a shooting pain. it felt as if i had hit a nerve. There is now a red area on my arm and in the middle the skin is raised a bit. Also i am assuming it is a vein but it looks like a line raised the same way as in the center is coming from it and going down my arm a bit. it is very strange, and i am not even sure that it is a spider bite it is just my first assumption. if anyone has any help with what it could be please let me know.
Well I’m not sure if its a spider bit but it has like a little kind of white bump in the middle and all around it its red and its spreading more and more. Its kinda hard and its a little bit swollen.
My daughter was playing outside with my husband and myself yesterday evening. We live in Panama City Florida, at was close to dusk and after we can in i noticed a bite on my daughters arm that looked like a large mosquito bite and thought nothing of it. But as it got closer to bedtime the bite grew substantially and the area started to swell. It now looks like a small bump in the middle of a large area of swollen skin with a reddish ring around it. What do you think bit her? I hope the picture i sent in helps! She is 4 years old and complained that the bite itched at first but says it does not hurt her. She seems to be acting completely normal!
My skin will itch like something is crawling on it and biting it, then I will look at the area and their is nothing there, so I itch it, and it will form a small red bump, then it bruises form me scratching it. I have also noticed I have extreme gas, and it does not matter what I eat. My dog had fleas a couple months ago and I thought that was it. I had him sprayed, bathed and I put that liquid down his back that prevents them, the inside and outside of the house sprayed. I have not seen any on on him in over a month. However I still get these small itches, red bumps and bruising. And the gas is extreme, almost like my body is rejecting something. NO new products used and of course the doc has no idea.
I got bit Saturday night, it is now Wednesday. A very bad bruise and a lot of pain, you can see two marks where I think the spider bite. I’m not sure if it was a spider or not. The pain I really bad when I walk and sometime when I sleep it hurts so bad I can’t sleep. Then today I noticed a little white head on one f the spots. I will email a pic, I am just wondering if you could help me figure out what bite me and if medical attention is needed. I don’t have insurance so the hospital gets pretty expensive. Two days ago I was sitting by a nearby lake when i started to get itchy bumps on my legs. Assuming it was just a bug bite i ignored it. The next morning i awoke to find over 60 bites with a majority on my thighs. The bumps are hard and red ranging from 1-6 cm in diameter. They itch like crazy. Is it possible there was a spider’s nest on my chair? I live in north central Indiana.

I live in Lockhart, Texas and got bite by a spider the other day. At first it was black scab looking but now it has goo and is red around it. I was sleeping when it bite me so I didn’t get a look at it. If any can help that would be great.

Hey I just got bit in the back yard today by a spider that felt like a cigarette burn. We saw the spider and it appeared to have a gray body and not such big legs. I am not sure what it was. How did your bite turn out?

this happened to me about 3 years ago and i still have no idea what bit me and I’ve looked into it.
i was staying the night at my friend Kurt’s house because the next day we were going to a concert. but half way through the night my finger started throbbing, slightly at first then growing worse and worse. it got to the point i wanted to stab it with a needle to get rid of some pressure, but i didn’t. the next day i woke up to find that the part that was throbbing had turned yellow and looked like a bruised yellow tomato, about a centimeter long and half a centimeter wide next to my finger nail. WHAT COULD HAVE DONE THIS? it seemed to get worse and worse till i broke the skin, cleaned it out and started sucking out what ever was in it.
PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS!

ok, my mom got bit on her butt earlier while putting on pants (which is in the closet) or on her nightgown. at first she thought it was a mosquito bite. she said it was itching like crazy so i told her to put on some itching cream, but that irritated it. the bite looks like small bumps with white dots surrounded by a red area the size of two quarters. the next day the bumps grew. one of her co workers suggested gold balm. she tried it. now the bumps are half a centimeter tall and are pus filled. does anyone know what kind of spider did this??????
I was bitten by a spider, I’m not sure what kind it is but this is what it looks like.
it’s about a 3mm black circle with a clear ring around it.(flesh decay) its swollen, very red, and has little red bumps all around it starting down my arm. its annoying because its itchy and I’m worried about it, and don’t know if i want to get it checked because i don’t like needles. I’ve had other spider bites and they never had this reaction! (thought i was immune to them).
I was bit about an hour an a half ago, I’m not sure what by, thees a small bump on my pinky that hurts when touched, but feels fine when left alone, there are 2 fang marks. Spider bite? Insect bite? Should I be concerned?
I am not sure whether this is a mosquito bite or not. We have quite a few spiders in our house, but they usually hang around in the garage. I was sleeping last night and this morning I woke up with what seemed like a small patch of white dots. There is three little white dots on one side, and then a space between them, moving over to four more. Two more are spread away from the patch, which is red… I have no idea what’s going on, but I do not want to have to wait for it to swell to have to go to the Hospital in any absolute emergency! is it a spider bite? Or not? I’m just… A bit concerned.
well i woke up and there was a sore on my elbow its getting a bit worse and its acting like a spider bite but i’m not really sure its like its trying to act like a pimple but its not i could tell if it was a pimple and i don’t have any way to go get checked so i would need to know how to home treat it will peroxide work or would i need more stuff
i woke up one morning and noticed a little bump on the corner of my eye. everyday it gets bigger. it looks like i got punched.
i got bit by a spider yesterday and i felt it as soon as it happened. it feels like a cigarette burn and its a bit red where i got bit. it still feels like it burns.
I noticed on Sunday (it’s now Friday) I had a red spot on my left hand (back of the hand). It got bigger so Wednesday morning i went to the Immediate Care center local to me. Doctor said it was a spider bite. He checked my lymph nodes and temperature and blood pressure, and ruled that I didn’t have an infection.
It’s gotten itchier now though, so I’m not sure what to do. It looks eerily similar to one of the photos shown here!
just a red area, raised a tiny bit (but flat…like a plateau) with a bumpy texture to it.
any idea what kind of spider? I killed the one I think bit me and it looked like a casual house spider, no markings. just solid black and about the size of a dime.
I’m keeping it covered with a band aid + antibiotic ointment and an ACE bandage to prevent infection, but the itch is driving me nuts!!! what bit me!?
a couple weeks ago my friend got bit by.. something, and it swelled up to be about an inch or two in diameter. Over the course of two weeks it got huge and to were he couldn’t sleep. Then a couple days ago, it popped and blood poured everywhere. It got all over the bed, all over his clothes. And he went to the hospital (because I FINALLY got him talked into it) and they squeezed pus and infection and stuff out of it. His arm around the lump was blood red and it kinda thinned out into light red. But the bite was on the inside of his arm next to his arm pit and the redness reached to both sides of his arm.
Well, when he went to the hospital they said that it was abscessed, but it really looked the same as before it busted. Now he’s got another one right in his arm pit where all his hair is and it looks like it’s doing the same thing. I would like to know what kind of bite this is, if it is one.
hello! about a week ago i spent 10 days on vacation in British Colombia . my friend and I slept in the same (pull out) bed and we both started noticing these bites only on our legs . they look like a mosquito bite but they hurt if you touch them . ever since we have returned home i have still been getting these bites and my mom has got them too . does anyone know what bug this could be or how to get rid of it?

People say I have a spider bite ! It left a semi circle black and blue looking mark. I just gets lighter on some days and darker on others.
I have had swelling of the feet , ankles , and some lower leg issues. But I think they have gotten worse. I thought I may have just bumped into something. But , 4 local mrelatives from back in the boones said, looks like a spider bight to us.
walked through a web about 10-15 minutes ago, a small black spider was on my hand but I flicked it off.
I have what may be a bite on my upper arm, I’m feeling a little bit of stiffness and tingling in that arm.
I got bit on my foot four times before I was able to kill the spider. There is a distinct circle of discoloration with a red outline of the discoloration. Inside the red outline there is some swelling. There isn’t any pain at all on the foot, but the outline covers half the foot and all four spider bites are one of the toes.
okay my friend got bit by a spider while she was sleeping, and she woke up and it was itchy and she put stuff to make it stop itching. At about 3:15 p.m she cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide solution and isopropyl alcohol. She doesn’t know what spider it was and shes a little worried about the bite. Any ideas on what spider it was or how to clean it better and get rid of it? please respond.

Started itching two days ago, discovered 15 bites pretty much clustered with a few outliers on my left leg and 7 same small sized on my right leg. They are all dime-sized or smaller with a hard white center. Getting harder and redder at day 4. Initially, I thought they came from in-house, but it is more likely that they could’ve very well been spiders from a wooden bench outside that I sat on during a bonfire. Anyone have any ideas?
Hey I got a red bump that kinda looks like a mosquito bite but its turning bigger and redder. I noticed it wasn’t a mosquito bite because its really swollen and it started to bruise a little can anyone help me and tell me what it is.

I live in central new york and have a bite on my back. I have had many spider bites, so I know what they look like, but none of them have ever bothered me this much. The area around it is completely sore, and my entire lower back where the bite is feels like I have been lifting heavy crates all day. The bite itself looks like a typically harmless spider bite, but it is hot to touch and more painful than usual. Anybody have any ideas as to what this spider may be?
I woke up yesterday morning and immediately jumped in the shower, when I was in the shower I noticed that my leg was stinging from the water so I thought I must have a cut. When I got out of the shower I noticed that it looked liked bruised and red around a small pea sized blister looking thing on my shin in between my knee and my ankle. I left it alone and it has continued to get bigger now about the size of a dime. But irregularly shaped. I thought it might be a spider bite but I am not sure if I should pop it or leave it be. I’m debating on if I should go to the emergency room today, it doesn’t really hurt that much only if I hit it against something, or press around the reddish area, which is a little sore. The fluid bag looks yellow-orangish.
I live in Eastern Canada (New Brunswick) I have bite that’s about 3mm thick and swollen and 5 inches around, it has a small blood red dot in the middle. I expect its a spider bite as we have been doing siding on our home and have seen about 4 different types of spider. Any ideas what kind of spider caused this?? Thank you :)
So this weekend I got this “thing” that looked like a monstrous zit.
So I cleaned it put toothpaste on it.
I tried caladryl and that seemed to reduce it in size.
But it’s still super red and I accidentally rubbed the head/scab off and I moved it aside so I could see if it was just a really bad pimple or spider bite. I’ve never been bitten before but what was behind it was like stringy pus stuff attached to the head. Eww, so is this a spider bite? I’m sitting here crying and trying to find out whether it is a bug bite or inflamed pimple. I’m so scared that it is what should I do to take care of it until Monday? Hi, I’ve love to know what’s been infesting my bedroom lately as well as biting me. It’s been occurring since July. I’ve lived in this house (which was newly built when we moved in) a few years ago, and this never happened before. I also live in upstate New York (general Buffalo area.) I was initially perplexed as I assumed they were mosquitoes biting through clothing, but after i wore a pair of thick boots the other night, I realize there’s no way. I also sleep without pants on, which would explain why they’re getting my legs particularly.
The spiders seem like normal house spiders. Thick enough legs, perhaps the size of a nickel including legs. They’re extremely quick and i believe they have a yellow design on their body. I haven’t gotten too close to these things other than a quick swat to kill them or watching someone else do such, as I have quite the phobia. I believe they’re coming out from my air conditioning vent and I’m considering putting netting over it to prevent this. They seem to be often near or around my bed, sometimes on my bed, and more recently, upon my person.
I have a spherical bite from these (to estimate size, put your thumb and index finger together, it’s about that large.) It’s also swollen and there’s a line or so specifically within it that’s more swollen (likely where it bit.) The bite also itches very much and from what I’ve noticed of the others, it scars. The scar is large and dull. My main concern was today I became very ill. I threw up multiple times (still unclear as to if I threw up blood the first few times. It was not the coffee ground type, but rather looked like fresh blood,) had chills and a fever as well as abdominal pain. I thought initially I was hungover, but this really didn’t feel like a hangover. After this, I assumed I had just gotten the flu / fever. It wasn’t until researching what seemed to be an unrelated bite that I considered I may have gotten sick from this bite. If anymore information is needed that I am able to provide, do ask and I would be more than happy to post it.
Realizing that these spiders are likely what are biting me and possibly sickened me just brought two of my greatest phobias (vomiting and arachnids) together. So I’m extremely eager to fix this. My room was entirely cleaned just prior to finding these (furniture moved, everything dusted, shampooed carpets, etc,) and my home is extremely cleanly as well. However, there are insects in the basement. Could these spiders be making me sick? Are they even the culprit of these bites? I’ve not yet found a picture of the specific spider online yet, nor a name for it. I just had this possible revelation as well, so I haven’t seen a doctor. I tend to have a variety of medical dilemma’s and often end up at the doctors, so I’d really enjoy avoiding that unless necessary. Any advice would be fantastic at this point.
i noticed i have about 4 of the same kind of bite on my left leg. They don’t itch, are flat and have been there about 3 days now. It basically looks like a broken blood vessel, its just a red spot about 2 centimeters wide. When i first noticed them i thought they were mosquito bites, but they have never started itching. i don’t know if they’re spider bites or not but if anyone knows please tell me. My mom thinks they’re either from the couch, or somewhere in my bed. i know they are not mosquito bites because i also have those
So me and my best friend were sleeping out in the tent i live in Minnesota. and last night i got bit and it stung so i figured it was a spider. and now its quite swollen its about two and a half fingers wide all the way wrong and its kinda hard two questions what do i do cause it kinda scares me and two could this kill me?
I got this bite most likely while out on a boat in NJ. I didn’t notice until the next day when my hand brushed my thigh and I noticed it was really swollen. I was thinking maybe a mosquito bite because I usually swell up from those, but never THAT much! This is about 5 inches in diameter. It does not hurt, and it only itches for a second if I touch it, but not nearly as itchy as a typical mosquito bite. My husband thought it looks like a Lyme rash, and a friend said it looks like a spider bite minus teeth marks. The swelling has gone down and I think it is healing well, but I am curious if anyone can identify what bit me?
Hi i live in Ireland in the west.. On a romantic camping trip with my man we were camping on a beautiful full beach called Silver Strand. However when changing my clothes I got a bite on my Ahem, tush… My god was it painful.. It is now large and risen and red.. It was extremely itching but not 24 hours on it is still there.. A red spider was the culprit but I couldn’t believe I was bitten in Cold Ireland.. Can anyone shed some light on this?? Is it dangerous??

so i woke up this morning, and i saw a bump on my leg. the temperature of the bump and the redness around it is higher than the rest of my body. it looks kinda like a mosquito bite but it has a little pus ball looking thing in the middle. and it hurts really bad. We have been seeing spiders in the house, one looked like a brown recluse. but i’m not sure. Anybody know what kinda spider bite this is.?

I don’t have photos of the original bite. The “bite” appeared as a minor lesion a few days after the original bite. I noticed a dark spot in the area which I tried to remove. It was difficult to remove and broke into very small pieces as I removed it. I never considered that it could have been a tick until a few days ago when I heard a news report. When I first noticed the bite I realized that it had an unusual bite appearance but assumed it was from a spider. I never considered that it might have been a tick. The procedure I used sounds terrible, but it really wasn’t. I just don’t know how to explain it better.

Recently I spent a week in a wooded area of New Hampshire. When I arrived home I noticed a medium size unknown insect bite on my right thigh. The center of the bite was somewhat raised (almost like a pimple) and the outer area was a red circle. I don’t remember getting bit and it was not itchy or painful. A few days later I noticed that the center of the bite appeared as a wound with a dark red scab. Is my description specific enough to get an idea of what could have bitten me and if I should have any concerns about it?

My mother has received two white bumps that itches like crazy. I do not know if it is a spider bite but just to make sure.
My family just moved into a foreclosed house we purchased. After cleaning and painting the main floor we moved in. the house has a basement which is full of spider webs actually the whole house was at first. I just started cleaning the heat vents and noticed a ton of white spider eggs all inside. I cleaned them out with a vacuum then washed it out. A couple days after i started getting stung or bit. It’s a very painful and stings or burns. I have not seen and spiders on me and have only seen a few in the house. I have seen very very small specks on my feet and legs. it tends to happen in from of both bathroom sink and kitchen sink which both have plumbing issues and leak a little. So any idea would be great! thank you, Dena
I live in a small village about 30 kilometers outside of Timisoara, Romania and about 2 days ago I received 3 bites in a row around the ankle of my left foot, each by the same bug, seeing as all 3 became bright red on the second day, perhaps due to infection or irritation. There are many spiders here, but I saw the bite soon after going for a swim in the Pogonici river, the river being host to many water spiders. I am unsure about it being a spider bite, but it is certainly from something with much venom. The bites are all bright red, with a hard surface like a rash. They do not itch or hurt unless something touches the bites, and the first day they were rather pale pink, and just a bit swollen, but the second day they are bright red.
